David - The School Odyssey: Book 4 Danger Is Up Ahead

“We have returned. What should we do next Circe,” said Odysseus.

“Listen to me Odysseus you must walk near the choir room were the sirens are. Put your earbuds in your ears and turn the music on high because the sirens will keep you in their room and you will never make it to homeroom. If you want to hear it have your men tie you and drag you through the halls. After that you will have to pass Scylla. Scylla is a group of your crew member’s little sisters. Do not try and fight them because they will just take six more of your crew members. Remember my words or you will never reach homeroom.”

“Got it. Pass the sirens and do not attack Scylla.”

“Ok,” said Circe, “Go Fast Odysseus go to homeroom.”

With his crew Odysseus walked to homeroom. He told his crew everything but the part about not attacking Scylla . As the halls turned left and right Odysseus wondered how long it would take to get to homeroom.

“Sir we are near the hallway with the sirens,” said Jim.

“Put in your earbuds turn on the music then tie me up.” They did as Odysseus said.

As they dragged the hero passed the sirens our hero yelled, “Set me free. Set me free fools.” He tried to untie the ropes, but he failed. He screamed at the crew , but they could not hear him. His body jerked as if it too wanted to get to the sound.

They passed the sirens and untied their leader. A moment of rage came over him , but it passed because he no longer could hear the sound or remember it.

“Wow thank the gods that is over,” said Odysseus.

“Sir we are coming up on the Scylla,” said Bob.

“Not a moment of rest just how I like it.”

The little girls hugged and kissed the crew member. They tried to fight them off, but the took more and more of the crew members. The girls made threats about telling there mothers that they would not play with them and thus getting the boys grounded.

Odysseus ran knowing that he might survive. He was right only he survived.

With no energy left in the hero he slept and hoped the last bit to homeroom would not be as hard.
